We can provide intensive intervention for learning key skills and for progress with current skills; please specify a goal that we can work on at camp and we can evaluate a program design.Master Classes: weekly session lead by advanced professionals will expose campers to people who have devoted their life to adaptive therapeutic programs, will assist campers with relational/sensory/motor activities that lead to foundational and key skills enjoyment and development.
Some areas of focus: Adaptive Physical Education, Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Community integration and Literacy Development, Music Therapy, Behavioral observations and coaching.
Academic curriculum within daily programs: certified teachers will lead a portion of daily programs to satisfy NY State academic standards; your child’s school can then authorize IEP satisfaction at camp and financial allocation for ESY; We are planning a year-round residential school and respite programming; progress updates will begin in January, 2008. Therapeutic recreation remains our primary program objective and approach for activity content.
Nutrition and Diet program: we are refining our daily food service to a higher level of healthiness, providing balanced meals with reduced fat and cholesterol, low sugar and adequate protein.
Sensory Room improvements through greater therapist involvement and new materials.
Parent Liaisons Program: You can receive 5% off your child’s base tuition by referring a new camper who enrolls for the same session length as your child and who completes their registered session; if they enroll for a shorter session, a pro-rated reduction will be applicable. Please refer new campers to complete the “Contact Us” page and specify that they were referred by you. Thank you.
